September has been a steady month with some positive numbers overall. While we have seen a dip in the overall website traffic, it is great to see that we have actually seen an increase in the number of users coming to the site from organic traffic. We saw 822 users through August, and 875 users through September which is fantastic! This is also a great indication that the SEO rankings are adding value by getting more traffic coming to the website. On the GMB front, we have optimised these listing for Melbourne search terms that show valuable search volume, however the ‘spam’ type listings created by competitors are proving the ranking process for us to be very competitive. We will continue to see how we can get these listings improving their positions, while also focusing on the organic rankings in the coming month.
SEO Analysis
The month of September has been a positive month for the SEO rankings. We have seen an increase in the number of terms appearing in the top 10 (first page) of results, from 92 in August to 96 in September. We can also now see 49 terms appearing in the top 3 positions on the first page of Google’s results, which is a 5 keyword increase from the previous month. The term ‘child speech therapist burwood’ saw a massive 95 position leap to now be sitting on the first page of results. Another great win for the month was the term ‘speech pathology melbourne’ moving 17 positions up in the Map Pack on Google. However, due to the ‘spam’ type GMB’s that are also going after similar terms, this GMB is not quite sitting where we want it to be. We were also able to optimise the satellite GMB with the term ‘child speech pathologist melbourne’, however, again due to a large number of ‘spam’ type listings from competitors, this is not quite where we want the listing to be ranking. Over the coming month, we will be using some link building techniques in order to see more value coming from the organic search results on Google.
