As the first full month of results, November has produced some positive numbers. Looking at our GMB rankings, we can see that the term ‘engagement photographer cairns’ is ranking 3rd in the map pack while ‘family photographers cairns’ is ranking in the #1 position. However, it looks like the ranking has slipped for the term ‘photographer cairns’ in just the last 2 weeks. This term is the most valuable of the 3 targeted terms and is therefore important for us to see this rankings bounce back. Over the last month we have worked to create citations and other social signals to the Google My Business listing to gain more authority with Google. Through the month of December we will be utilising what is called ‘Google Cloud Links’ or ‘Google Sites’. This is a way for us to build a number of links that will ‘pass the juice’ through to the GMB listing with a particular focus on the keyword ‘photographer cairns’. With this approach, we are confident we can see this ranking bounce back in the coming month and we will be monitoring this to ensure some improved results.
