The month of January has been slower than expected for the SEO campaign. There has been another decrease in overall website traffic by a small percentage of 5.6%. We note the downward trend in site visits throughout the latter part of the month and recognise this as an area for improvement. On the other hand, the decline in the number of users driven in by the organic (SEO) channel is minimal from 90 users last December to 89 users this month. The keyword rankings have also gone down, with 20 keywords ranking in the top 3 from last month’s 24. The 35 keywords in the top 4 to 10 positions have dipped to 25. We shifted one of the targeted keywords this month to keyword ‘childrens dentist camberwell’ and it currently ranks in the 8th position of Google search results. Unfortunately, the keyword ‘dentist south yarra’ has gone down from the 12th position to the 29th. The keyword ‘childrens dentist hawthorn’ was able to maintain its ranking in the 11th position. To combat these movements, we will be utilising an off-page strategy for the month of February to boost the targeted keywords.
