May continues last month’s ups and downs in both website and SEO performance. There was again a dip in website visits, this time by 20%. More favourably, though, a large majority of users arrived through organic (SEO) searches, and almost all of them were new. We also saw a fantastic increase of over a thousand percent in average session duration, so users are finding our content relevant to their search! SEO performance is similarly mixed, as we saw a marginal 1.8% dip in overall SEO rank, but now have one more keyword in the top 3 spots of search results! That brings us to 15 in total, with 7 still in the #1 position. We sustained our 11 keywords in the top 4 to 10 spots as well, so almost all our keywords are on the first page of search results — very promising. The ‘retaining walls Eltham’ target keyword saw particularly fantastic performance, jumping from 40th all the way to 19th in the rankings. June will see us expand on our on-page strategies to recover site performance and see further progress in keyword SEO rankings.
