We saw a very strong start to our SEO and Google Ads campaigns, which is very favourable! User visits are up to 231 in total, with a peak of 20 users (19 new) on March 17. A significant number arrived through CPC (cost per click) channels, with a smaller but still notable number coming through organic (SEO) channels. Average session duration sits at well over two minutes, so website content is relevant to user searches. The site’s average SEO rank is up 4.9% into a favourable 7.2 overall, which is pleasing to see. We also have a strong number of keywords in the top 10 spots on Google search results. For the Google Ads campaign, we saw a promising 121 clicks out of 2000 impressions, with a Click Through Rate (CTR) of 6.1%. We also saw 5 total conversions in the first two weeks – very positive. Our issue, however, is the budget that limits the campaign due to the high-competition keywords. We’ve adjusted the negative keywords accordingly so as not to waste resources, which we will continue doing in April. We will also expand our on- and off-page strategies to boost keyword rankings.
SEO Analysis
- 5 Conversions
- 117 Clicks
- 6.09% CTR
- $5.10 Avg. CPC
- 4.27% Conversion Rate
- March has been a great start for the Google Ads campaign. We have seen 5 conversions for the first two weeks of the campaigns going live, which is a promising response.
- However, the campaign is limited by budget mainly due to high competition, with keyword bids nearly reaching $7 to $8. As a result, the daily budget is being depleted immediately.
- For March, we added low intent and competitor search terms in the negative keyword list and adjusted the bids of some keywords to stay competitive while not overspending or being too aggressive. We also added car/automotive air conditioning related terms in the negative keywords list to avoid wasting the budget since you do not offer this service.
- With that being said, the plan for April is to continue updating the negative keywords list to avoid wastes due to irrelevant, low intent and competitor searches.
