July was a month of ups and downs for the website and the SEO campaign. User traffic saw a welcome recovery, up 18.0% from June, with organic search users accounting for 61.0% of total site visitors. The overall trend was inconsistent, but peaked at 5 users on the website at several times. In terms of SEO performance, the site’s average SEO rank is still stable, sitting at 9.4 overall. We’ve maintained our keyword performance as well, although ideally we’d like to see keywords move into the top 3 positions of Google search results. In July, we completed on-page optimisations on the ‘earthmoving Lismore’ keyword, which currently ranks 12th. We expect its ranking to improve in the coming weeks. For August, we will switch to off-page strategies to boost the site’s average SEO ranking by improving the way Google and users perceive the website’s authority.
