November was again a month of challenges, although it still had positive metrics. Site traffic dipped again, although the overall trend was high with an upward ending note. More favourably, though, the percentage of organic search users increased to almost 80%. These users also spent well over a minute on the website, meaning the content was relevant to their searches. Per the dashboard, the site’s average SEO rank experienced an 8.9% drop, but the 4.4 rank is still higher than the 6.1 in October! Some keywords shifted from the first page of Google search results, but a large majority of our keywords remain in the crucial top 3 spots. In November, we focused on-page optimisations on the ‘bjj Melbourne’ keyword, which should improve in ranking in the coming weeks as a result. This December, we will switch to off-page strategies to improve site mentions and authority.
