The month of October has produced interesting results with some major victories for our campaign. We note a 24.5% decrease in overall website traffic for the month, particularly due to a drop in the number of site referrals. Nevertheless, we recognise the downward trend in our SEO channel as the number of organic users drop from 304 to 226 users. On the other hand, the decline in traffic is minuscule compared to last month’s 163.4% increase. We aim to stabilise our site performance in the coming month by bringing in more users from the organic (SEO) channel through our more aggressive link building approach. For keyword rankings, we are concerned to see that our average SEO ranking has slightly dropped once again. Although we were able to maintain the number of keywords ranking in the top 3 positions, two of our keywords in the top 4 to 10 positions have fallen back. However, a massive win for the month is seeing all of our targeted keywords move up from their previous rankings due to the change in link building strategy. It is particularly exciting to see keyword ‘truck finance brokers’ attain the top 1 position of Google and ‘truck loans’ to make it’s way closer to the first page of results again! Our efforts from the last month have also allowed us to secure more backlinks for the site. Our goal for the coming month of November is to solidify all of our targeted keywords on the first page of search results by pushing through with our new off-page strategy.
