  • December marks the start of the Google Ads campaign, and it has shown promising results since going live on 16 December 2022. There were immediately 2 calls made through the website and 2 Requests for Quote. The cost per click is also low despite the tight competition in the car rental niche in the area.
  • For December, we changed the bidding strategy from Maximise Clicks to Maximise Conversions immediately after getting one conversion. This allowed the campaign to optimise towards getting more conversion with the small historical data from the campaign performance. We also added the long-tail keywords “private car hire from sunshine coast airport” and “long term car rental sunshine coast” based on the Search Term Report that shows actual user search queries. Furthermore, we added Audience Segments for Observation, such as Affinity Audience: Family Vacationers. This would allow us to bid more towards audience segments that show the best response to the ads when necessary. Finally, we added competitor search term variations in the negative keywords list.
  • With that being said, Tthe plan for January is to continue updating the negative keywords list to avoid irrelevant, low intent and competitor searches. Furthermore, we will refine the keywords and the ads so these can match the evolving search trends, move closer to a conversion and generate ROI for the business.
