The on-page optimisation efforts centered around ‘rent a car Sunshine Coast Airport,’ with anticipated ranking improvements in the upcoming weeks. Looking ahead, the December strategy will shift to off-page optimisation through press releases, aiming to enhance brand visibility, drive website traffic, and bolster domain authority.

Ongoing optimisation efforts include refining keyword bidding strategies and search query adjustments to enhance campaign effectiveness. In the coming weeks, the team plans to complete advertiser verification, enabling the addition of logos to Search campaigns for increased impact. Overall, the month demonstrated positive trends, and the team remains vigilant for continuous improvements in ad performance.

  • It has been a stronger month of November for our campaigns as there has been an uplift in conversion metrics across the board. Conversions went up from 5 to 16 which consequently resulted in a lower Cost/Conv of $46.95 from previously costing $64.25 in October. Additionally, Conv. Rate is also higher at 6.78%.
  • As part of our regular optimisation strategy, we tested out new keyword bidding strategies from Manual CPC to Maximise Conversions, which uses Google’s AI to set bids to help get the most conversions for the campaign within the set daily budget. As seen in the conversion metrics improvement above, we will continue to monitor this and make the necessary bidding adjustments as needed.
  • We will also continue to do search query optimisations and add irrelevant search terms within the negative keyword list to avoid wasted ad spend. Also in the coming weeks, we may need to complete advertiser verification in the account. After verification, we will be able to add logos to new and existing Search campaigns. Using logos could make our Search ads more effective.

In October, the SEO campaign made significant progress. A total of 43 keywords achieved first-page rankings, with an additional 30 keywords ranking within the top 4-10 positions. Notably, keywords like ‘holiday car rental Nambour,’ ‘cheap car hire Sunshine Coast,’ ‘family car rentals Nambour Railway Station,’ and ‘family car rentals Sunshine Coast’ all secured the coveted first position. ‘Bargain car rental Sunshine Coast’ achieved an impressive second-page ranking.

The primary focus of the month was on off-page optimisation, leveraging guest posting opportunities to boost referral traffic, build quality backlinks, and enhance the website’s authority. This strategy is aimed at long-term success.

Looking ahead to November, the SEO campaign will shift its attention to on-page optimisation, concentrating on the highly competitive keyword ‘rent a car Sunshine Coast Airport.’ The goal is to gain a competitive edge and secure a first-page ranking, considering its substantial monthly search volume.

October presented both challenges and opportunities in the Google Ads campaign. Despite a limited runtime, the campaign garnered 117 clicks, resulting in 5.99 conversions, with a commendable 13.40% click-through rate (CTR) and a 5.12% conversion rate. The average cost per click (CPC) remained at a reasonable $3.29.

One notable setback was that the campaign only ran from the 24th onwards due to a declined ad spend payment, leading to fewer conversions compared to September. In line with optimisation efforts, irrelevant and competitor search term variations were added to the negative keywords list to enhance ad targeting and efficiency.

For November, the focus will be on increasing the number of conversions and addressing the ad spend payment issue. Additionally, the plan includes completing Advertiser verification to access more valuable ad assets, further enhancing the Google Ads campaign’s performance.
