The SEO for the month of October has seen some noteworthy wins as well as a few dips that we will be working on through November. We’re pleased to report that there has been an increase in the number of users visiting the website, from 458 users in September to a positive jump of 10.7% in October, with 507 users visiting the website for an average of 1 minute and 26 seconds per visit. Of the 507 website users, 299 of them are from organic search results (SEO traffic) with 274 out of 299 of those users tagged as new users to the site. We have maintained a strong number of keywords at 30 keywords in the top 3 results of the first page and are pleased to report an increase in the number of keywords ranking in the top 4-10 positions on the first page, with 20 keywords joining the top 4-10 positions in search results compared to September’s 18. There has been positive movement for the ranking of the keywords ‘conveyancing lawyers Ipswich’ which made a massive leap from September’s 29th position to October’s 22nd, ‘small business lawyer Ipswich’ from September’s 11th position to October’s 10th, and ‘business lawyer Ipswich’ from September’s 21st position to October’s 20th position. While a dip can be seen in the ranking of the keywords ‘lawyers ipswich’ from September’s 16th position to October’s 24th, ‘family lawyers ipswich’ from September’s 4th position to October’s 6th, and ‘corporate lawyer Ipswich’ from September’s 46th position to October’s 49th, we will be aggressively working on pushing our keywords on-page strategy through November to see the rankings for the corporate or business ‘Ipswich’ keywords make their way closer towards the first page of search results.

The results for the month of August have been slightly slower in comparison to last month’s results with some small SEO wins. Unfortunately, we were unable to continue our upward trend in overall website traffic from the last few months as we have had a 27.5% decrease in site visitors this August. However, it looks like this drop in website traffic is coming from a channel unrelated to the organic (SEO) channel. We see the website traffic coming from the organic channel is still performing strongly, being responsible for a large number of our users. Our SEO keyword rankings have been fluctuating in the beginning of the month but we’re happy to note a stabilising trend on rankings by the end of August. As such, we have had a slight increase in the number of keywords we have ranking in the top 3 positions, along with a decrease in the number of keywords ranking in the top 4 to 10 results. A big win for us for the month is seeing keyword “family lawyers Ipswich” rank in the top #1 spot on Google! We plan to see this level of success continue with our other targeted keywords by using an off-page strategy for the coming month of September.
