Emos Electrical – March Monthly Report

The month of March has seen some steady results. While we have seen a dip in the overall website traffic, it has been interesting that through the dips and peaks the traffic seems to have actually increased towards the end of the month after the COVID-19 restrictions were put in place. It has been pleasing to see that these restrictions have not had a negative impact on the overall website traffic through March. The Google Ads campaign has performed very well with 6 call conversions through the month. We will be continuing to optimise the campaign to ensure we can continue to achieve conversions during this uncertain time. On the Google Maps front, we are continuing to utilise our off-page strategy to build some more momentum behind the GMB listing for ‘electrician gold coast’. We will continue with this approach through April in order to see this move to an improved position from where it is currently in 12th position.

Google Ads Analysis

  • The Google Ads campaign has performed very well through the month of March. The campaign has achieved 6 call conversions (despite these conversions not appearing in the marketing dashboard). Considering the current situation in the world, this is a very pleasing result.
  • However, the campaign did generate less Clicks which has resulted in a lower CTR.
  • Our plan for the month of April is to resolve the issue on conversion tracking so we can see all achieved conversions correctly in the dashboard. We will also be working to structure the campaign to achieve more clicks and a better CTR which can lead to better quality conversions

    The month of February has seen very pleasing results overall. While we have noticed an issue with our conversion tracking, we have not been able to see all conversions pull into the marketing dashboard, we do have a backup method of tracking these conversions which tells us there were 7 extra conversions achieved this month. This tracking issue will be resolved in the coming month. On the Google Maps front, we are now ranking in the 9th position in Google Maps for the keyword ‘electrician gold coast’. Through March, we will be continuing on off-page work to see the map rankings improve for Gold Coast, Burleigh Heads and Helensvale.

    Google Ads Analysis

  • We generated 106 Clicks, 6% CTR and 1.8k Impressions which lead to 11 Conversions and 10.4% Conversion rate which has been very positive
  • We did notice an issue with our conversion tracking which resulted to some conversions not showing in the marketing dashboard, however we were able to track these through a back up method. We can see that we achieved 7 calls (over 1 min call duration) that did not show up in the dashboard
  • The plan for March is to resolve the conversion issue and optimise the campaign based on the data we have seen this month
