The month of August was challenging for the website and the SEO campaign. User traffic remains up over 1,000 visitors throughout the month, but we saw a small drop in total visitors versus July. The overall trend averaged somewhat less as well, although there was again an inexplicable spike in traffic – 277 users on 24 August. Of users we accounted for, 596 arrived through organic (SEO) channels, which is still over half of total site visitors. The site’s average SEO rank saw a very minimal dip, but we’ve retained a notable number of keywords on the first page of Google’s search results. August saw us focus more on off-page strategies such as building backlinks, in order to boost website authority and relevance. This September, we will focus on on-page optimisations, particularly on the ‘employment lawyers Melbourne’ keyword so we can bring it closer to the #1 position on Google.
