July was a more challenging month for the campaign. Site traffic remains down, although the overall trend ended on an upward note. In fact, there was a peak of users on 28 July! A larger percentage of users arrived through organic (SEO) channels, accounting for 86.8% of all traffic. Average session duration for organic search users also remains well over a minute, which is pleasing to see. SEO performance has also experienced some setbacks, with some keywords dropping from the first page of Google search results. In July, we focused on off-page optimisations to boost organic rankings and improve website authority. In August, we will switch to on-page strategies for the ‘gardening services Canberra’ keyword, which is high-competition with a high monthly search volume.

In July, we focused on off-page optimisation strategy. Our goal was to boost ranking by improving how Google and users perceive the site’s authority, relevance, and trustworthiness.
For the month of August, our plan is to focus our on-page optimisation on the high-competition keyword ‘gardening services Canberra’ as it has significant monthly searches. Our aim is to bring it closer to the first page of Google search results.
