Gardengigs – April 2021 Monthly Report
Manager
We are pleased to report a more positive set of results for the SEO campaign this month of April. For a start, it has been amazing to finally see a turn-around in the downward trajectory of site traffic as we record a 12.8% increase in overall website traffic for the month! The trend in these site visits were also quite stable with minimal fluctuations, a solid performance from the campaign. It is also fantastic to see the organic (SEO) channel continue to be the top-performing channel as it brings in the majority of site visits (171 organic users for the month). Another win for the campaign this April is seeing more keywords move up to the top 3 positions of Google search results from 28 last month to 36 keywords this month. Perhaps the only set-back for the month is with the target keyword ‘landscaping canberra’ moving down to the second page of Google from last month’s 10th position on the first page of search results. We will continue to focus on the Canberra keywords for the coming month of May and address the recent dip from the first page ranking in order to also see a boost in the overall website traffic in turn.

Gardengigs – March 2021 Monthly Report
Manager
The month of March has produced a variety of results with both wins and losses for the SEO campaign. To start off, there has been another decrease in overall website traffic but with only a 6.5% decline, still a slight improvement from the significant 19.3% decrease is site traffic last month. Unfortunately, the trend in site visits this March has been much less stable which likely contributed to the dip in site visitors. On the other hand, the number of organic users has only gone down by a minimal amount from 153 last month to 150 users coming in from the organic (SEO) channel this month, meaning the majority of the website dip is unrelated to the SEO channel. With that said, due to the decrease in the number of keywords both in the top 3 and top 4-10 positions, the previous ranking on Google wasn’t held steady this month. Nevertheless, we were able to track a win for the campaign this March as all of the below focus keywords were able to secure their positions on the first page of Google. This can be attributed to the new content strategy that assisted in gaining more relevance on Google. For the coming month of April, we aim to maintain these successes using an off-page strategy as well as boost the overall rankings to in turn see the website traffic bounce back up.
