February continues January’s promising results for the campaign, with very limited setbacks. User traffic did see a decline, but the overall trend remained high. Almost all the users arrived through organic (SEO) channels – 235 total, with 226 of them new. In pleasing news, average session duration increased by 34.0% and remains well over a minute. This shows our content continues to be relevant to user searches. We also saw an 8.4% rise in the site’s average SEO rank, and a favourable number of them are on the first page of Google’s search results. The campaign did lose some keywords from the top 3 spots, however. February saw us focus our on-page optimisations on the ‘landscaping macarthur’ target keyword, which has moved 6 places up to 9th, on Google’s first page. In March, we will shift our focus to the ‘landscaping contractors kingston’ target keyword to take advantage of its monthly search volume.

The overall trend was also fairly consistent throughout the month, with several peaks. A large majority of users arrived through organic (SEO) channels, and spent a significant amount of time on the website. We also saw another rise in the site’s average SEO ranking, this March by 6.2%! We did again lose some keywords in the top 3 spots, but a favourable number of our keywords overall remain in the first page of Google’s search results. Last month, a login issue prevented us from performing our planned optimisations. Once that is fixed, this April we will focus our on-page strategies on the ‘landscaping contractors kingston’ target keyword because of its high monthly search volume.
