March, unfortunately, did not continue the positive results from last month, with the campaign experiencing some setbacks. User visits saw a 7.2% decline, although the overall trend featured several peaks. There were a few notable spikes in traffic, such as on March 2, 14, and 28. A majority of users arrived through organic (SEO) channels, and while fewer than last month, almost all of them were new. Average session duration still remains well over a minute as well. For the SEO campaign, we saw a 4.1% decrease in the site’s average rank, but it still remains fairly high at 12.4. We now have 23 keywords in the top 3 positions, and have retained 10 in the top 1 spot – very pleasing to see. March saw us complete on-page optimisations focusing on the ‘dentist fitzroy’ target keyword, which we expect to shift in ranking in the coming weeks. This April, we will shift focus to the ‘dentist kew’ target keyword to take advantage of its monthly search volume.

- Through April, we will focus on the keyword ‘roof restoration lismore’ as it is one of the lowest ranking keywords and has a fairly high level of competition. Our goal is to boost its ranking from third to first page of organic search results.

The SEO campaign for the month of January has produced some noteworthy wins and slight dips in both site traffic and keyword rankings. User site traffic went down by 3.9% this month, leading to a total of 122 users visiting the site in January. Of the 122 users, 73 are from the organic channel. We’re pleased to report that each user spent 54.4% more time on the site this month compared to the previous month’s average session duration. A total of 16 keywords join the top 3 positions and 26 keywords join the top 4-10 positions of first page results. Rankings for the keywords ‘childrens dentist hawthorn’ and ‘dentist south yarra’ are fairly steady with minimal movement in their positions. A massive win for the campaign is the keyword ‘childrens dentist south yarra’, which is holding on strongly to its top 1 position of first page results. To strengthen the site’s position in search results rankings, we have completed on-page optimisations for the keyword ‘dentist malvern’ in January and look forward to seeing it move closer to top positions of first page results in the coming weeks. We also plan to revisit our on-page strategy for the keyword ‘dentist caulfield’ through February and come up with strategies on how to boost its ranking back to a higher position in search results.
