January brought mixed results for the SEO campaign, although there remain positives. Site traffic did see a decrease, but more users arrived through organic (SEO) channels than last month. A majority of those users were new, and spent a significant amount of time on the site – showing our content is relevant to their searches. In terms of SEO performance, the site’s average rank is lower than it was in November, but remains high at 4.0. Our keywords are also still on the first page of Google’s search results, with ‘buyers agent Hobart’ ranking in 2nd. January saw us complete on-page optimisations on the ‘buyers agent Tasmania’, which now ranks 6th. In February we will focus off-page strategies on the ‘buyers agent Hobart’ target keyword to try and boost it to the #1 spot.
