The month of May has seen an interesting month of results overall. We have seen a dip in the overall website traffic coming from email and referral channels, however we have actually seen an increase in the traffic coming from organic (SEO) search. From 170 organic website visits in April to 199 in May, this has been a pleasing result. We have also been able to maintain our page #1 rankings and have seen some fluctuations for the Brisbane keywords over the last month. In the coming month, we will again be doing some further on-page optimisations to encourage more of the Brisbane keywords to move closer to the first page of results. On the Google Ads front, we have seen some slower results from the call-only campaigns. Through June we will be creating a radius campaign with specific suburb focuses. Once we can nail down this approach, we will also be able to roll this out across further suburbs across Brisbane.

SEO Analysis

  • 52 keyword ranking in top 3 (first page) results
  • 6 keywords ranking in top 4-10 (first page) results
  • Keyword ‘electrician brisbane’ ranking in 21st position (third page)
  • Keyword ‘electrician windsor’ ranking in 3rd position (first page)
  • Keyword ‘emergency electrician brisbane’ ranking in 4th position (first page)
  • On-page optimisations will be used in June to see movements in the rankings for the keyword ‘electrician brisbane’
  • Google Ads Analysis

  • May has produced a slower month of results for the Google Ads campaign. The campaigns have generated 620 Clicks, a 0.2% CTR, 357.6k Impressions and 9 Total Conversions.
  • The call only campaigns have generated very low traffic and are proving to become more expensive.
  • Our plan for the month of June is to re-establish the radius search campaign using groups of suburbs as the focus. We will develop ad groups and ad copy that is tailored to each individual suburb as well as adjust the existing ad copy on the 3 existing suburb campaigns.
