The focus in May for the campaign was off-page optimisation, employing the local citations strategy to enhance visibility, credibility, and Google presence by obtaining reputable backlinks. SEO-optimised content was created for both profiles, aiming to enhance location relevance and visibility. Going forward, the GBP strategy will prioritize keywords such as “plumber Baldivis” and “pipe relining Rockingham,” aiming to elevate these services and locations closer to the top 3 positions in Google Maps results and encourage visitor actions.
Lastly, for Google Ads, the campaign delivered positive results and achieved two conversions. With a total of 74 clicks, the campaign demonstrated a healthy click-through rate (CTR) of 4.84%. The average cost per click (CPC) was $13.45, indicating an effective budget allocation.
Compared to the previous month, the ads were displayed more frequently, with a delivery rate of 46.53% when relevant searches were made. To further optimise the campaign, image extensions were added based on images from the custom landing page and organic pages. This addition aimed to enhance the visual appeal of the ads and improve their performance. Additionally, the negative keywords list was updated to prevent the display of ads for irrelevant and low-intent search terms, ensuring a more targeted and efficient ad targeting.
Looking ahead to June, the plan is to update the landing page content to align with relevant search terms and the actual services offered. Ongoing monitoring of the bidding strategy will be conducted, and the negative keywords list will be continuously updated to optimise budget utilisation and maximize campaign effectiveness.

Ads were delivered 46.53% of the time whenever related searches were made this month, compared to 30.98% in April. With more visibility, the campaign received 2 calls through the ads.
As part of our optimisation, we added more image extensions based on images from the custom landing page and the organic pages. Additionally, we updated the negative keywords list to avoid showing ads to irrelevant and low intent search terms.
With that, the plan for June is to update the landing page content as necessary to match the search terms and the actual services being offered. We will also monitor the current bidding strategy. Furthermore, we will continue updating the negative keywords list to avoid wasting the budget.
