The month of March has seen some steady results. While we have seen a dip in the overall website traffic, it has been interesting that through the dips and peaks the traffic seems to have actually increased towards the end of the month after the COVID-19 restrictions were put in place. It has been pleasing to see that these restrictions have not had a negative impact on the overall website traffic through March. The Google Ads campaign has performed very well with 6 call conversions through the month. We will be continuing to optimise the campaign to ensure we can continue to achieve conversions during this uncertain time. On the Google Maps front, we are continuing to utilise our off-page strategy to build some more momentum behind the GMB listing for ‘electrician gold coast’. We will continue with this approach through April in order to see this move to an improved position from where it is currently in 12th position.

Google Ads Analysis

  • The Google Ads campaign has performed very well through the month of March. The campaign has achieved 6 call conversions (despite these conversions not appearing in the marketing dashboard). Considering the current situation in the world, this is a very pleasing result.
  • However, the campaign did generate less Clicks which has resulted in a lower CTR.
  • Our plan for the month of April is to resolve the issue on conversion tracking so we can see all achieved conversions correctly in the dashboard. We will also be working to structure the campaign to achieve more clicks and a better CTR which can lead to better quality conversions
