March saw both favourable and less positive results across the board. We saw a fantastic 151.3% rise in user visits – with a peak of 53 users on March 11! A significant number of users arrived through organic (SEO) channels, and average session duration remains over 3 minutes. We did, however, see another drop in the site’s average SEO rank. Still, keyword performance has been fairly steady. For GMB, we saw 265 total views, while we had 5 visits through Google Maps. In April we will focus on the ‘marketing consultant Brisbane’ keyword to take advantage of its high search volume. For SEO, we are partway through revising Category and Sub-Category pages in order to drive long-tail traffic organically. We also altered the automatic H1 headings for a number of SEO templates to reduce redundancy. In terms of on-page strategies, we will optimise the ‘website hosting sunshine coast’ keyword.
GMB Analysis
- The Google My Business listing has 265 total views for the month
- 5 website visits were also secured from the views on the Google Maps listing through the month.
- In March, we created and posted SEO optimised content for the GMB listing in order to gain more service and location relevance with Google. The post can be viewed here:https://bit.ly/3NcOP3R.
- Through the month of April, we plan to focus on the keyword ‘marketing consultant Brisbane’ to gain a foothold in the GMB rankings and improve visitor actions as it has a significant number of monthly searches.
SEO Analysis
- Firstly, thank you for the video you shared with Jason earlier this month.
- We attempted to optimise the URLs of the permalinks in January and found we were unable to. This was a good reminder for us to revisit the names of the categories and sub-categories though.
- Our thinking is that the category and sub-category pages are most likely to be ones which can drive (long-tail) traffic organically. We have been through and revised all Categories. We are part-way through the sub-categories and will complete them this coming month. We are skipping some of the sub-categories with no members currently listed, and will revisit them at a later date.
- Additionally, we also altered the automatically created H1 headings for a large number of SEO templates. Most particularly to reduce redundant uses of the Country. As most people are not going to use Australia as a keyword variation.
- For the on-page strategy, we will be looking at the keyword ‘website hosting sunshine coast’ for this page: https://marketingbroker.com.au/web-hosting.
