It has been a challenging month for the SEO campaign this September as we record data that is lower than expected. Unfortunately, there has been a 28.6% decrease in overall website traffic, particularly stemming from the organic (SEO) channel. It has dropped down from the top performing channel to the second with a total of 68 organic users for the month. The average SEO ranking has gone down and we have noted a large dip in ranking for targeted keyword ‘marketing consultant Sunshine Coast’. From the first page, it has gone down to the fourth page of Google search results. We aim to boost keyword rankings for the coming month of October as we assert our on-page strategy on relevant keywords, such as ‘marketing consultant perth’.

  • The month of August provided generally stable results for the SEO campaign.
  • Site visits currently stand at 177 users
  • 68 users came from organic traffic
  • Keyword ‘marketing consultant Sunshine Coast’ is in 33rd position (fourth page)
  • Keyword ‘small business web design Sunshine Coast’ is in 31st position (fourth page)
  • In September, we completed on-page optimisation with a focus on the keyword ‘marketing consultant Sydney’ and we expect movement in its ranking in the coming weeks.
  • For the month of October, we will focus our on-page strategy on the keyword ‘marketing consultant Perth’ as it has a significant number of average monthly searches and to bring it closer to the first page of Google’s results.

    The results produced for the month of August are slower than expected, but within a consistent range of performance for the SEO campaign. To start, there has unfortunately been a slight dip in overall website traffic amounting to 8.1%. However, we do not attribute this dip to the SEO campaign because the organic (search results) channel was able to bring in more users than last month! This puts organic traffic as the top performing channel for the site, a notable success for the campaign. For keyword rankings, the number of keywords ranking within the top 10 positions or first page of Google remains the same. However, there have been some small downward movements in the targeted keywords of the campaign this month. We aim to boost these keywords, specifically ‘web design sunshine coast’, for the coming month of September by using an on-page strategy.
