September has been a slower month of results overall. We have seen a drop in the overall website traffic, particularly towards the second half of the month which is interesting to see. We can still see that organic search (Google search results) brough more than half of the website traffic to the site this month which is a good sign that SEO is contributing to the overall website traffic. Over the coming months, as we see the SEO keywords stabilise more with Google and build these up to more valuable positions on the first page of results, we should also expect to see an increase in the overall website traffic. On the Google Ads front, we will continue running the campaign for the first 10 days of each month and work on optimising the campaign from that data each month, in order to see an increase in the number of conversions.
SEO Analysis
The month of September has seen a steady month of progress for the SEO. We can still see 3 terms appearing on the first page of Google’s results which is great, however we are continuing to see large fluctuations in the rankings. This means that Google is still trying to find these terms stable positions within Google Search. The terms ‘heating repair greensborough’, ‘air conditioning service fairfield’ and ‘heating repair preston’ have seen massive movements, jumping 80, 79 and 73 positions respectively. Over the coming month our work will be focused on the off page strategy to boost more of these terms closer to the first page of Google’s results, and to hopefully see Google start to stabilise more of the keywords.
AdWords Analysis
The Google Ads campaign ran for 10 days in the month of September. We generated 10 Clicks and 663 Impressions with a 1.51% CTR. These numbers are a great starting point for the new campaign that was only run for a short time. Throughout October, we will continue to optimise the campaign based on the 10 days of data we can see at the beginning of the month when the campaign is running. Our goal for the coming monthis to accelerate the performance in order to see an increase in the number of conversions and data we can use for further optimisations.
