PlasterFix – October 2022 Monthly Report

October was a month of challenges for the website and SEO campaign. User traffic again dropped, although this time by a much smaller margin of 1.7%. The overall trend of user visits also ended on a sharp upward note, which bodes well for next month. More positively, 78.7% of site visitors arrived through organic search channels, and they spent almost 5 minutes on the website on average! The site’s average SEO rank did slip slightly but remains high at 7.4 overall. Some keywords also dropped from the first page of Google search results, but a majority of them remain within the top 10 spots. In October, we focused on off-page strategies such as guest posting to improve site authority. In November, we will shift to on-page optimisations focusing on the ‘suspended ceiling’ keyword to bring it closer to the top 10 spots on Google, as it has a high monthly search volume.

    The campaign experienced highs and lows in the month of September. Website metrics experienced some challenges, but SEO performance was more positive. User traffic dropped slightly (down 12.8%) but the overall trend ended on an upward note. More promisingly, 82% of total traffic came through organic (SEO) channels and these users spent almost 5 minutes on the website. Additionally, the website’s average SEO rank improved by 0.5% – a small but welcome win. Keyword performance has also been positive, with more keywords on the first page of Google search results! September saw us focus on off-page strategies to improve website authority and relevance. This October, we will continue to focus on off-page optimisations, especially on backlinks. We aim to bring the website to the same level as its competitors, boost website authority, and improve the site’s ranking on Google.
