February has seen mixed results in terms of website and SEO performance. While the overall trend in website traffic has been high, there has been a minimal dip in user visits, down 17.0% from last month. Session duration has also decreased slightly, although the average time is still well over a minute. An overwhelming majority of users continue to arrive via organic (SEO) channels, though, with 610 total and 586 new, which is optimistic! As a note, however, there was a period of four days this month where tracking showed just 0-1 visits per day, which could be due to website downtime or domain expiration. Meanwhile, the site’s average ranking has recovered since January, with an average SEO of 11.5. Unfortunately, though, some keywords have dropped from the top 3 spots — we now have just 11, with 3 holding the #1 spot. A further 35 keywords rank within the top 4 to 10 spots in search results, all of which we can build on. Throughout March, we will implement off-page strategies to recover user traffic and SEO performance. In particular, we want to boost the ranking of the ‘hair dresser Redcliffe’ target keyword to take advantage of its monthly search volume and potentially increase website traffic.
