Southern Excavations – March 2021 Monthly Report

The site has seen a welcome recovery in user traffic throughout March, with a small but promising 6.8% increase in user traffic and a fantastic 154.8% increase in average session duration. With that said, we have noted heavy fluctuations throughout the month. Still, almost all users arrived through organic (SEO) searches, with 62 in total (60 new), which is grounds for optimism. Keyword performance has been mixed, as the site saw a 2.7% drop in average SEO rank but has sustained 12 keywords in the top 3 spots. We also still have 6 keywords holding the #1 position. There are a further 14 keywords in the top 4 to 10 spots, which means almost all our keywords are on the first page of search results — very promising! Throughout April, we will continue our off-page strategies so we can sustain keyword performance and boost the Lismore keywords to the #1 spots.

  • 14 keywords ranking in top 4-10 (first page) results
  • Keyword ‘excavation byron bay’ ranking in 1st position (first page)
  • Keyword ‘bobcat hire lismore’ ranking in 2nd position (first page)
  • Keyword ‘bobcat hire byron bay’ ranking in 1st position (first page)
  • Through April, we will continue to utilise the off-page strategy to see the rankings for the Lismore keywords make their way closer to the 1st position in search results while also defending our achieved Byron Bay rankings in their #1 positions.
