Southern Excavations – July 2021 Monthly Report

Manager

The campaign saw mixed results in the month of July, with a few larger wins! We did not see a continued increase in site traffic, with a 23.1% drop. The overall trend was also up and down, but the month ended strongly, which is promising! More favourably, average session duration increased by 69.1% and over half the users arrived through organic (SEO) channels, so site visitors find our website content relevant to their searches. SEO performance did see a slight 7.1% drop in the site’s average rank, but we sustained our keyword performance from last month! Again, almost all our keywords are on Google’s first page of results, which is something we can build on. In particular, the ‘retaining walls bangalow’ target keyword saw a fantastic jump to the 4th spot, up from 18th last month. This August, we will expand on-page strategies to push the remaining keywords towards the first page of search results.

June saw some very welcome recovery for the campaign in both website and SEO performance. Website traffic bounced back, with a 39.3% increase in user visits. And while the overall trend was up-and-down, there were several high points, which is promising. An overwhelming majority of users continue arriving through organic (SEO) searches, with 53 in total and all of them new. SEO performance saw a fantastic 10.3% increase in the site’s average rank, although we did see some setbacks in keyword performance. We now have 10 keywords in the top 3 spots, with 4 of them holding the #1 rank. We do have more keywords in the top 4 to 10 spots, so almost all our keywords remain on the first page of search results which is very pleasing to see. In July, we will expand our on-page strategies to lift more keywords to Google’s first page of searches.
