The month of January presented itself with a variety of mixed results for website analytics and SEO. Regarding website analytics, total users increased by a staggering 68.8%. For SEO, keyword rankings are yet to recover since the analytical change that occurred in December. It is anticipated that with the help of SEO pages and continuous optimization, the keyword rankings will recover in the coming month. Throughout January, the focus was to complete on-page optimisation for the focus keyword ‘parenting course Brisbane’ and within the coming weeks, we will aim to see its rankings improve. In Feburary, the focus will be to complete off-page optimisation strategies in order to increase the number of natural links and website mentions, which in turn will improve rankings.

SEO Analysis

  • There has been a slight decline in keyword rankings since December.
  • There is a strong likelihood that this has been caused by fluctuations in keyword search volumes and seasonality. Few users may be searching for online parenting courses or life coaching at this time of the year.
  • The effects are deemed temporary, but a continued monitoring of the keywords will be implemented in the coming month.
  • Checking with Google Search Console and other tools indicates that the site has not been penalised, which means the decline in the keyword performance is caused by factors outside the website.
  • In December, the SEO campaign focused on off-page optimisation using local citation strategy to improve the site’s Google presence and ranking in the local search results.
  • Through January, the SEO on-page optimisation will focus on the keyword ‘parenting course Brisbane’ as it has a medium to high level of competition, significant monthly searches, and has yet to gain a strong foothold in the rankings.
