Viking Mortgages – April 2021 Monthly Report

Manager

The month of April saw a number of wins and dips from the SEO campaign overall. We have noted a 37.4% decrease in website visits this month, but were pleased to see this traffic pick up near the end of the month, which is promising for the month of May! Half of the website users this month arrived via organic (SEO) searches, which has us optimistic. On the SEO rankings front, we do still note keywords in the top 3 spots and all of them hold the #1 ranking, which is excellent. There are a further 15 keywords in the top 4 to 10 (first page) spots as well, which we can build on. April saw us secure an editorial spot to help boost the ranking for the ‘car finance Sunshine Coast’ target keyword, and we hope to see positive results from this in the coming weeks. In May, we will expand our off-page strategies to again boost some stubborn keywords. In particular, we’d like to see the Sunshine Coast target keywords all on the first page of results, which will help in recovering site traffic as well.

  • Viking Mortgages – March 2021 Monthly Report

    Manager

March has seen some setbacks in terms of site performance, with a 21.6% decrease in user visits. The overall trend was also low, with the high point towards the end of the month, showing potential for April’s numbers. A pleasing number of users continue to arrive via organic (SEO) channels, while a sizable number arrive through referrals, which are very promising! For the site’s SEO performance, the average ranking has dipped slightly by 3.9% following last month’s increase. Keyword performance has been mostly steady, though, which we can build on in the coming months. There are still 7 keywords in the top 3 spots in search results, with 6 of them now holding the #1 rank. We also still have 17 keywords in the top 4 to 10 spots, meaning a majority of our keywords are on the first page of search results, which is a positive result. Throughout April, we will be using off-page strategies to recover website traffic and boost the ranking for ‘car finance sunshine coast’ so we can take advantage of the significant monthly search volume of this target keyword. With these strategy changes, our goal is to see the website traffic bounce back up through the month of April.
