Viking Mortgages – February 2021 Monthly Report

February has seen a very welcome recovery in website performance, both in user visits and SEO rankings. After January’s dip in traffic, this month sees a 92.0% increase in user visits, with a sizable number arriving via organic (SEO) channels. The average session duration has also risen again, with most users now spending over a minute on the site. The overall trend of traffic still fluctuated, but with a steep upward tick towards the end of the month, which is very promising! In terms of SEO performance, the average site ranking has increased slightly by 12.2%. Keyword performance has dipped slightly, though, with 7 keywords in the top 3 spots in search results (as opposed to 10 last month) and 5 of them holding the #1 position. There are a further 17 keywords in the top 4 to 10 spots, which we can continue building on. This month of March, we will use on-page optimisations to boost SEO keyword rankings, especially for ‘car finance sunshine coast’ to take advantage of its significant monthly search results.

  • Through the month of March, on-page optimisations will be completed in order to boost the ranking for ‘car finance sunshine coast’ closer to the first page of search results as there is significant search volume for this keyword each month

    The month of January sees another dip in website traffic, this time by 27.5%, however this drop has not come back the organic (SEO) traffic which is pleasing. The overall trend fluctuated heavily, although activity spiked towards the end of the month and we hope to build on that through February. User arrivals through organic (SEO) channels have marginally increased, though, which is favourable. The average session duration has also risen by 279.9%. In terms of SEO rankings, keyword performance has held mostly steady from December, with 10 keywords now in the top 3 spots but a further 15 in the top 4 to 10. We also have 6 keywords holding the #1 position, all of which is promising! This February, we will continue off-page strategies to see further improvements in the rankings which can result in recovering website traffic. We will also aim to boost the ‘mortgage broker sunshine coast’ target keyword to see it move further up the rankings to take advantage of its significant monthly search volume.
