August sees more favourable website metrics but some small setbacks for the SEO campaign. Website traffic has steadied, with a small 1.6% increase – still a win! The overall trend was high and trended upwards throughout the month. Almost half of website visitors (46.3%) arrived through organic search channels, a percentage sustained from the previous month. They also spent a significant amount of time on the site, which is pleasing to see. Though the metrics indicate a dip in the site’s average SEO rank, it is still higher than in July – 5.8 now, versus 5.9 the previous month. An overwhelming majority of keywords also remain in the top 3 spots of Google search results. The keyword ‘brazilian jiu jitsu Melbourne’ is climbing its way up the rankings, now sitting in 14th (from 20th). August saw us focus on off-page strategies to boost site authority in relevance. Beginning September, we will pivot our focus towards the ‘wing chun’ and ‘jiu jitsu’ keywords. In particular, our on-page optimisations will focus on the ‘jiu jitsu Thomastown’ keyword as it has a high monthly search volume. It currently ranks 13th, and we aim to bring it into the top 3 spots of Google.
