October was a more challenging month for website metrics. Website traffic saw a marginal drop, but the overall trend remained high and consistent. Organic search users still account for over half of total site visitors, and they spend well over a minute on the website. The site’s average rank fell slightly, down to 6.1 instead of 6.0 in September. We gained more keywords in the top 3 spots of Google search results, however, which is promising! In October, we switched to off-page strategies in order to gain quality local citations and improve site ranking. This November, we will return to on-page optimisations focusing on the ‘bjj Melbourne’ keyword to take advantage of its high monthly search volume.
