We’ve seen more positive showings in February! Site traffic again rose, this time by 17.4%, with a high overall trend – a very positive sight. Almost half those users arrived through organic (SEO) channels, and they spent a significant amount of time on the site. This shows our content is relevant to user searches. The site’s average SEO ranking did take a minimal dip by 1.1%, but it still remains at a high 4.4. We now have more keywords in the top 3 spots on Google’s search results, with a large majority holding the #1 rank. Moreover, all but 19 of our keywords are ranking in the top 10 spots on Google. February saw us complete on-page optimisations on the ‘martial arts Thomastown’ target keyword, which has improved in ranking. This March, we will shift our focus to the ‘bjj Preston’ target keyword so it moves closer to Google’s first page.

March brings mixed results for the campaign in terms of website traffic, but much more favourable ones for SEO performance. We saw a small dip in website traffic, down 2.6%, although the overall trend was very high. In particular, we had a peak of 58 visitors to the site at the end of the month – very pleasing to see. In terms of SEO, we saw a fantastic rise in the site’s average rank by 9.0%, meaning it now averages a 3.0 rank overall! We also saw more keywords move into the top 3 spots of Google, and 6 more keywords move onto the first page of search results. March saw us complete on-page optimisations on the ‘bjj Preston’ target keyword, which has moved up a fantastic 16 positions into 5th. In April we will focus on the ‘bjj Melbourne’ target keyword to move it from its present position of 39th.

• Keyword ‘brazilian jiu jitsu Melbourne’ ranking in 16th position (second page)
• In March, we completed on-page optimisation with a focus on keyword ‘bjj Preston’ which now ranks in 5th position (first page), up from 21st position (third page) in the previous month.
• For the month of April, we plan to focus our on-page strategy on the keyword ‘bjj Melbourne’ to help boost its ranking from fifth page and bring it closer to the first page of Google search results.
